'Twas the Site Before ChRISTMAS                   By  K. Kringle Gates

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house

rang the tap of the key  board and the click of the mouse.
The children were sleeping and snug in their beds

while visions of action games  danced in their heads.
My spouse upstairs reading and m e in the den.
The coffee a-brewing we were all settled in.

The  Build-A-Page  contest was quite a challenge to me

had entered the first two and planned to win number three.

I was furiously typing, a new page was in store.
HTML tags were flying, this was a winner for sure!
After hours of trying,  frustration  was here.
with a sigh I leaned back in my favorite chair.

My head starting  nodding my tired eyes closed.

I must have been sleeping for in a start I arose.

The monitor was shining in the gloom of the night.

But what was that on it?       What a wonderful sight!

What MIDIs,  what images!

This page was so awesome,
                   was it made by me?

A touch of Java, ActiveX and some JScript too.
The SiliconValley was about to see something new.
But how did this happen, Was I sleep typing? Nooo..
Then I heard a quiet  chuckle

or was it a  "Ho Ho Ho?"

Could  Santa  be a guru, or maybe  Mrs. Claus?

Are  elves  naturally talented in  HTML  laws?

In amazement I sat there just pondering the idea.

When a jin GLE   jingle   JINgle was heard very clear.

I ran to the window and what did I see?  Why there is Santa and he's winking at me.
